We have created a theater we would like to visit ourselves - where one can watch theatre that's simple, unpretentious and new. We love theater that is made of the guys showing it - instead of cherished, famous and ancient texts in a new guise. We believe it is possible to present fresh and surprising performances for a wide audience. Much of what we do is fun, but also sad, charming and poetic. But most of all we believe in a theater in dialogue with its audience and made by people who love doing it. The Other theater is a small theater with a big heart. Theatre has to be popcorn, party and people!

The story began in 2008 when a small group from the Teater Liksom decided that the city needed a place that could supply more improvisational theatre. We eventually found Ivan Bjørndalsgate 9 and by saving money, funds and loads of volunteer work, we got this little place up and running.

We want to be here for our audience, to offer theater, and other things that´s very similar to it. Cheap food, cheap tickets and great toilets are our gift to you all!
